About RRB NTPC:

The Railway Recruitment Board has conducted examinations for non-technical popular categories on December 2020 for various posts including junior clerk, accounts clerk, traffic assistant, station master, commercial ticket clerk, goods guard, and commercial apprentice. 

The result helps the applicants to know their qualifying status to appear in the main examination. Separate results would be released for each stage. Apart from results, RRB would also declare the cutoff marks and score cards on its official website.

In order to get scorecards, aspirants have to enter their password and registration number. Here, the scores do matters because selection will not be possible without scoring qualifying marks in computer-based tests and other exams.

RRB NTPC is usually conducted in four stages of examination and they are:

  • Computer-based test – Stage 1
  • Computer-based test – Stage 2
  • Computer based aptitude test or typing skill tests
  • Document verification and medical fitness

What are the details you found on a scorecard?

The candidates can get the following specifications in their scorecards:

  • Name of the candidate
  • Registration number
  • Application number
  • Raw score
  • Pro-rated score
  • Normalized marks
  • Qualifying status

Why mark gets normalized?

If the computer-based tests are organized in multiple stages, the examination board follows the procedure of normalization. People of different stages can get shortlisted based on the normalized marks obtained by them in every computer-based test. The normalization process is significant to manage the complexity of question papers.

How to calculate RRB NTPC 2021 result scores:

It is expected that the results can be announced in February 2021. After 7 days of the examination, RRB releases the answer key previous to declaring the results. So, applicants should refer to the answer key and estimate the marks.

Follow the given guidelines while calculating the marks:

  • For every valid answer, the aspirant is awarded with one mark
  • For every incorrect answer, it deducts ¼ of your mark. This means that every candidate has a penalty of 0.25 for incorrect answers
  • After deducting the penalties applied for every wrong answer, calculate the correct answer and the absolute score of your RRB examination

RRB NTPC 2021 cut off marks:

Different RRB regions have different merit lists. The candidates who are likely to clear the merit list are only enabled to proceed with the further steps. Also KnowRSMSSB Patwari Admit Card , The recruitment board declares the merit list on its official site after two or three days of result declaration. 

The merit list is nothing but the list of candidates who score maximum marks in the conducted examination. Based on the merit list, you will get to know the marks obtained and your qualifying status.
